2017 Iceland: Land of Fire and Ice

June 20 to July 1, 2017

2017 Iceland: Land of Fire and Ice

I have been going to Iceland since 1976 and it is one of my favorite destinations.  Join me and you will have many opportunities to photograph magnificent landscapes, legendary waterfalls, and wildlife such as the adorable puffins.  I timed this trip to be there at the height of the puffin breading season and before they drop their colorful bill.  Iceland is one of the most active volcanic islands in the world, and you will be able to photograph and watch active geysers, hot springs, and volcanic fissures.  At this time of the year we can make use of the midnight sunshine, which will give us fantastic lighting situations for many evening hours.

Things like: good schools, clean air, the cost of living, peaceful neighborhoods are really momentous. However, our health is actually significant. You can get medicaments direct your desktop. Fairly, the roster is so large. Have a question about Viagra and “cost of viagra“? Our article tell more about the treatment of erectile disfunction and “price of viagra“. The most important question you need look for is “viagra price“. Commonly when slightly goes wrong with your sexual soundness, it can exert your sex life as well as your overall well-being. While Viagra is considered safe enough on their own, though, there’s no solid research on the side effects of recreational use. The very great aspect make sure that when you order drugs like Viagra online, you get real physic. Many of the web-sites offer perhaps hazardous fakes.

ICELAND, ICELANDIC HORSES

Across the highlands of the interior along Kjolur trail – Hveravellir geothermal field – overnight in Borgarfjordur/town of Borgarnes in West-Iceland.

This morning we will drive across the highlands of the interior towards Hveravellir geothermal field. The Hveravellir central volcano lies at the northern end of an active volcanic zone that extends to the NE from the Reykjanes Peninsula. Hveravellir central volcano occupies the NE half of the massive Langjökull icecap, east of the prominent Pleistocene table mountain, Erikskökull. A summit caldera lies beneath the ice. The Kjalhraun shield volcano east of Langjökull produced about 11 cu km of lava about 7800 years ago. Several small shield volcanoes have been constructed along flank fissure zones, producing postglacial lava flows that flank Langjökull on the northern, western, and eastern sides. One of the most prominent of these is a small shield volcano that was formed at the site of the massive Hallmundahraun lava flow, which covers about 240 sq km and was erupted about 950 AD. The Geysir thermal area, containing Iceland’s largest geysers, lies in the Haukadalur basin, near the southern end of the lengthy fissure system extending from the Hveravellir central volcano.

Some of the country’s most interesting geological features, such as the famous Snæfellsjökull ice-cap and other prominent mountains and volcanoes, are found on the peninsula.
