This year my tulip workshop was a little different from previous years. The cold temperatures and rain were holding back the tulips from being in full bloom. Most of the tulips were just opening and showed elegant shapes of their flowering buds. Because of the cool spring the daffodils were still flowering.
After spending time in the fields, we visited the Roozengaarde Display Gardens which were as pretty as ever: Lots of tulips and daffodils here! In the afternoon we went back to the fields and had beautiful clouds with some dramatic light. I showed the students how to take panoramic images. We had a great time spending a day photographing and because it was raining in Seattle, not too many people came to see the tulips.
