Sedona — Devil’s Kitchen

DEVIL'S KITCHEN

Soldier Pass, a trail that starts at the edge of an upscale residential area, quickly guides you through Sedona’s natural spectacles. The first stop is Devils Kitchen where the red rock has caved in to form a gaping hole (sink hole) in the ochre colored earth. Further up the trail, holes formed by swirling water now form small pools. The hike will take you through a delicate forest with agave and twisted juniper with giant rock castles towering overhead. This is a moderate hike that can be combined with other trails to make a lengthy circuit.
