Here is the answer to my last quiz: It is a close-up of the iridescent feathers of a Great frigate bird I photographed on my last photo tour to the Galapagos Islands. Frigate birds nest in colonies. During the breeding season, the males get bright red throat pouches with which they try to attract the females. They lay one egg and after about 55 days of incubation the chick is hatching. If you like to go and see the frigate birds, please check out my Galapagos trip for 2017. https://phototours.us/tours/2017-galapagos-2
I will post another quiz soon.

Wolfgang, one of the sheer joys of working for you was being able to see your wonderful images every day! I’ll always warmly remember my days at Casa Kaehler! And now seeing photos of Stephan and Tatiana as adults is wonderful. Happy Holidays to all of you.
