Pantanal: in search of the jaguar – Day 10

 

At the end of our trip we leave the dusty Transpantaneira for the paved route back to civilization. I realize Wolf is right: the Pantanal, with its exotic birds and mammals compares with the great plains of Africa in its biodiversity. And if Africa is the lion’s kingdom, this land, at the road’s end, belongs to the jaguar.
