explore medieval villages
Exploring Provence, we wandered through picturesque villages that dot the countryside. Each town reminded me of the charming country life that Peter Mahler described in his popular novel, A Year in Provence. Little Romanesque churches hugged craggy hillsides, cats lounged drowsily on centuries-old stone walls, and merchants served us tea and apple cake on outdoor terraces. Narrow medieval roads and passageways led us to vistas of the surrounding hillsides where vines, just beginning to sprout leaves, dotted each patch of usable land like confetti sprinkled at a wedding. As we rambled through villages and drove through the countryside, we stopped at vineyards to taste Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Côtes du Rhône and other famous French wines. We dabbled with our French friends in the French wine language as we admired the “larmes” or tears and the “nez” or smell. Each tasting introduced me to new grape varieties like Mourvedre and Cinsault.

I am interested in this trip for myself and wife (non-photographer). Would be interested in the approximate cost.
I met you in 2008 on a trip to the Galapagos with International Expeditions.

Wolfgang. I may be too old for this in 2018 but would love to return to this area and the horses. I would be a single.
